Design Process
01 INITIAL CONSULTATION
Kick off the design process by contacting Lobby Interiors through our contact page or by calling. We'll discuss your project and arrange an on-site meeting to understand your vision from the start. I'll send you a design questionnaire to complete before our first meeting. Feel free to bring along any inspirations, such as pictures or specific items you love. During our meeting, we'll go over the project scope, timeframes, and preferences to transform and achieve your ideal space. The initial design consultation, lasting 1-2 hours, is free of charge. Let's work together to bring your exciting new venture to life.​
01 INITIAL CONSULTATION
At The Lobby Interiors, we pride ourselves on our distinctive and meticulous approach to interior design. Our process is not just about aesthetics; it’s about creating spaces that are functional, comfortable, and reflective of your unique style and needs. To achieve this, we have developed a tailored 5-stage process that ensures every project is handled with precision and creativity.
02Â CONCEPT DEVELOPMENT
At this stage, I will provide a document outlining the Scope of Work and a Fee Proposal. Once we agree on the design details, we can begin your project. Using insights from our initial consultation, I will develop the concept, translating your ideas into a conceptual design. This exciting phase includes creating material boards, mood boards, 2D floorplans (spatial planning), and additional visuals. These elements communicate the aesthetic and feel of the desired design, setting the tone for the entire project. By combining your preferences with my expertise, we will ensure the design aligns perfectly with your vision and goals.
03Â PLANNING & DESIGN
Once the concepts are approved, we proceed to a detailed phase involving 3D models/renders of your space, allowing you to preview your project before construction. This phase includes designing cabinetry, creating fixture and fittings schedules (such as tapware selections), and choosing decorative elements, furniture, lighting, wall art, and finishes. All these elements come together in a cohesive conceptual form to produce a refined and harmonious masterpiece. We ensure that each design element fits within your budget, making your dream design achievable. Careful attention is given to every detail, ensuring your vision is realized beautifully and within your financial reach.
04Â EXECUTION
This phase turns initial ideas and visions into reality. You'll receive all necessary documentation for your builder, cabinet maker, painter, or tiler, providing a comprehensive "Bible" for your trades to work from. I will conduct regular site visits to monitor progress and enjoy seeing it all come together. These visits help gauge timelines for furniture deliveries and decorative elements. Throughout the design process, I will communicate with builders and tradespeople to ensure a stress-free build. My involvement ensures that your project runs smoothly, with every detail falling into place to bring your dream space to life.
05Â STYLING & FINISHING TOUCHES
This is the most exciting stage! Your initial idea is nearing completion and now within reach. Receiving all the decorative elements, artwork, and furniture pieces elevates the space to the next level. Seeing the room curated with carefully placed textiles and items is a rewarding experience for both you and me as the designer. My attention to detail and passion for design ensure your vision is captured perfectly. Final adjustments are made here, allowing the space to reach its full potential. This stage evokes an emotional connection, resulting in a stunning, harmonious, and functional space that truly reflects your vision.

I am a qualified Interior Designer from Canberra and creating beautiful and functional spaces is what I love to do!
My creativity, passion, and my love for the industry is evident in my designs.
Here at The Lobby, my approach is first and foremost getting to know you by listening and learning how you want to live and feel in your spaces. My goal is for my clients to be able to connect and enjoy their homes and for their environments to serve them in a way they never thought was possible.
Delivering interiors that reflect and align with who you are and fulfilling dreams is key. Solving any design concerns or any roadblocks you may have within your interiors, I am here to help.
